camping

Each year, Pack 577 goes on two family camping trips in the Fall and Spring. In past years, we have camped at Bert Adams Scout Reservation in Covington, GA, Woodruff Scout Reservation in North Georgia and Appletree Camp in the North Carolina mountains.

Families typically have the option of camping one or two nights, or you could also choose to attend for just the day.

annual big trip

Our yearly program includes a Big Trip that complements our two family campouts. We’ve found these trips to be a great opportunity for our Scouts to participate in some truly unique experiences. In March 2024, we are headed to Nature’s Classroom in Alabama for a fantastic experience.  Click here for trip details and registration.

Past trips have included:

  • 2023: Cumberland Caverns (Tennessee)

  • 2022: Patriots Point and the USS Yorktown aircraft carrier (Charleston, SC)

  • 2020: Sleep Under the Sea (Georgia Aquarium)

  • 2019: Nature’s Classroom (Lookout Mountain)

  • 2018: U.S. Space and Rocket Center (Huntsville, AL)

pinewood derby

Our annual Pinewood Derby Race Weekend takes place in late Winter with a variety of awards in different categories.

In addition to race weekend, we host workshops and other pre-race events to assist Scouts in designing, building, and testing their cars. See the calendar for a full list of dates.

blue and gold banquet

One of our highlights each year is our Blue and Gold Banquet held each Spring. It brings families together for an evening of fun to celebrate our Scouts' achievements and honor our pack's anniversary.
